Key COVID-19 Updates

The district is distributing breakfast and lunches between the hours of 10 am and 1 pm at the following locations: WPHS Athletic Circle, Church Street, Rochambeau, Post Road and Eastview in front of the auditorium entrance. Meals will consist of “grab-and-go”, which includes pre-packaged food and/or sandwiches. Breakfast and lunch can be picked up at the same time. Students or parents must show ID that their children are enrolled in the White Plains City School District and the building they attend.
-
For families that need additional food support please go to Feeding Westchester for temporary food distribution site.
-
The GW Pantry will be servicing the WPSCD community. The GWPTA is collecting funds to support this Feeding Westchester Food Pantry hosted by George Washington Elementary School. This pantry is currently providing food to 400+ WPCSD families weekly. All funds (minus PayPal fees only) will be used to supplement the contributions provided by Feeding Westchester. Please donate here if you are able. They also are looking for volunteers to help prepare the bags for distribution or to help with distribution. This is labor intense work and we ask you to take that into consideration before volunteering. Our community needs support and we thank you in advance for your help!

-
For emergency child care services, please call the Child Care Council of Westchester if you need temporary or backup childcare. The Council is working to determine which programs are open and might be able to provide these services. Services are free; call the Council at 914-761-3456 x 140 and leave a message.
-
Always refer to the district web page for the latest official information on school status. In addition, Dr. Ricca has been posting regular Facebook Live updates on the district's Facebook page, where he provides the latest about the school closing situation and answers parents' questions.
-
Another resource for White Plains information is the City of White Plains Facebook page, which also posts regular official updates on the situation in the city.
