Welcome to PARP 2022!
What is PARP? PARP stands for Pick A Reading Partner. A nation-wide PTA program that encourages students and the people in their lives, especially grownups, to read together (click here for a list of FREE online reading resources to use with your Tiger). PARP is an annual tradition at MAS and will run from January 31st through February 18th.
The objective of PARP is to let kids know how important reading is. We ask that students read with a parent or other important partner outside of school for at least 20 minutes per day. (Classroom reading does not count.) Students will then log the minutes they read using the form below. The classes and students with the most minutes read will win prizes.
In addition to reading, PARP is filled with fun events and activities as shown in the PARP Calendar below. Show your spirit with dress up days, enjoy a virtual author visit and participate in contests and challenges.
At MAS, PARP always supports a charity. This year we will be coming together to help families facing food insecurity as MAS has done throughout this pandemic. Click on the MAS Cares about our community link for details. Even a small amount can make a huge difference to a family in need.
